Experience

Natalie Sequerra heads the firm’s Corporate and M&A department.  She specializes in complex M&A transactions, local and cross-border, private equity deals, and advising start-ups in investment rounds. She is also experienced in corporate reorganizations, negotiation of corporate conflicts and in finance transactions.  Natalie represents clients across a diverse range of industries, including energy, technology, food, logistics and pharmaceuticals.

She is a member of the Regulatory Committee of ABVCAP – Brazilian Association for Private Equity and Venture Capital.

Natalie’s extensive track record in M&A and Private Equity includes significant transactions in the Brazilian market, such as:

  • Acquisition of Telefónica’s data centers by Spanish investment fund Asterion for over USD 600 million, followed by the subsequent sale of the data centers to private equity fund Actis.
  • Tencent’s investment in Nubank’s USD 200 million Series E-1 round, which contributed to Nubank becoming the largest privately held startup in Latin America, and all of Tencent’s follow-on investments in Nubank until its IPO.
  • Sale of Dorel Industries (which includes brands such as Mongoose, Schwinn, Cannondale and Caloi) to Pon Holdings for USD 810 million.
  • Sale of edtech Jaleko to Grupo A (controlled by Kinea, an asset management firm under Itaú Unibanco).
  • Joint venture between Chinese sovereign fund CLAI and China Three Gorges to create Rio Paraná to operate the Jupiá and Ilha Solteira hydroelectric power plants, in a project exceeding USD 2.6 billion.
